Flight Mode and Runway

Dear fellow travelers,

The last few days have taught me something.

Many people associate summer with energy. With travel. With celebrations. With encounters. With vitality.

And that's exactly how summer should feel.

In the last few weeks, I’ve danced more than I have in the last few months. I’ve learned forró and baile funk. I discovered passinho. I jumped into the circle despite my fear and danced there alone, just as is customary in Brazilian and other dance cultures. I took the plunge. I met new people. I took on new projects. And I’m building a spaceship.

Life is in full bloom.

And at the same time, I've noticed something else: the more life blossoms, the more important deep stillness becomes .

Not as a retreat from life. But as a counterpoint. Or perhaps even as a second pole of the same current.

That's why I now have my peaceful summer spaces.

Lately, I’ve been waking up just after four. The sky is pink. I make myself a cup of coffee. I smell the beans. I watch squirrels dancing around on the gutter. And I dance myself in the first light of dawn.

Later, my body sometimes hits "pause." That's when I do my reset routine. After Savasana, I lie in the sound bath for another thirty minutes. Or I take a nap at noon.

In the past, I would have thought, "There's something wrong with me."

Today I know this: My body is simply trying to keep up with all that's going on.

After all, summer doesn't just bring more energy. It also brings more experiences. More light. More sounds. More encounters. More beauty.

And all of that needs to be digested .

Perhaps that’s why a vibrant summer needs more than just sunshine. It also needs roots. Not just expression, but also silence. Not just “airplane mode,” but also runways.

The longer I work with people, the more I realize: We are all different. We’re in different stages of life.

Some people are drawn to tranquility. To a sound bath. To an hour when they don't have to do anything. A scent. A ritual.

Others need movement right now. The learning zone. Dance. Taking the plunge—whether into the center or into the deep end.

The art is not in becoming the same. It is in recognizing what is needed at that moment.

Maybe that's why so many different kinds of spaces are emerging right now.

CREATE is the launchpad. A space for building a foundation, developing capacity, and fostering self-leadership.

FLUGMODUS is the sky. A space for visions, expression, and new possibilities.

INTEGRATE is the destination. The place where experiences take on meaning and find their place in everyday life.

And somewhere in between, Merkén and the Spaceship dance through the summer. One with her feet on the ground. The other with her eyes on the stars.

The heart connects the two.

Perhaps that is the true art of summer: dancing in the morning. Sleeping at noon. Laughing in the evening. And trusting that life knows when it wants to grow and when it wants to rest.

From a place of deep calm and with a heart that dances,
Jeannette
